A pair.
A path.
A personal history.
A maker-edition direction with a story that grows through use, care and repair.

THE PROPOSITION
Made to have
a next chapter.
Imagine a small footwear collaboration: a maker-signed origin, practical care guidance and a record of work that keeps the pair useful. A walk or gathering can become an optional story, shared on the keeper’s terms.
The buyer gets a distinctive pair and useful care information. The maker can stay connected through repairs, material knowledge and a considered future release. XO adds the story and a place for those chapters to remain readable.
MAKER AND IMPLEMENTATION ROLES
Choose the right
people for the piece.
A footwear atelier, a repair specialist and a material supplier would shape the first physical proposal. Established craft brands can be reference points; the first viable partner may be a small maker with a repeatable construction.
XO will hold the creative direction and experience. We will agree production quality and servicing with the selected maker, and the tag and verification route with a specialist implementation partner.
FIRST TECHNICAL QUESTION
Prove the connection.
Trial the tag on a companion card first; then ask the maker and tag specialist to test footwear placement, flexing, moisture and expected repair operations.
A genuine tag response, the identity of the physical object and a keeper’s authority to change a record are separate checks.
For a connected luxury-product precedent, Temera describes its work on the Tod’s Di Bag. This is a bag example, not a footwear integration or an XO partnership.

A clear route before
any collaboration launch.
- Agree the maker, design rights, edition, service offer and unit economics.
- Build a tagged sample and approve the physical and digital connection together.
- Test verification, authorised updates, export and recovery on one complete object journey.
- Release a bounded edition only after quality, support and customer information are ready.
These are the release steps. Maker selection, pricing and launch dates follow the first tested samples.
